I'll probably never see her again.?

I went to a theme park with two of my friends and while they were riding one of the rides I didn't want to I saw this girl sitting on a bench a few feet away from me. My first thoughts were " Wow she is beautiful" and "I should go talk to her" I'm 17 and she appeared to be the same age. I have had many girlfriends throughout high school but I have always been rather shy when approaching someone I do not know, especially a girl. Anyways i saw her multiple times throughout the day and I mentioned to my friends that I was interested in this girl and they both agreed that she was cute but not very attractive but to me she was gorgeous. Then at one point we were in line for one of the most popular rides in all of my region and she was in line with what looked like her family near us and I decided to eavesdrop on her a little to try and pick up on her personality but it was too loud and I could not hear her very well but she had a very sweet, nice voice. All in all to me she was the kind of girl who can just drive you crazy and now I fear that I lost a one in a million chance because I left without talking to her, without a phone number, or even her name. If you have read this far, thank you and I would like to know if anyone has any advice of what to do because I know that there is virtually no way of ever seeing her again but it would be nice to see what other people think.
