Taking my baby hedgehog on a trip. how do i bring her cage and everything she needs for a long car ride?

she has a large cage with pine sheddings, that i dont want to get everywhere in the car. i was thinking of keeping her in a box with sheddings in it for the car ride, cleaning her cage out before i leave, and just bringing the sheddings and everything to put in there once we are where we need to be. the car ride is about 12-14 hours. (houston, TX to Destin, FL). is this a good idea? any other ways to make her more comfortable for the long car ride? she's a baby still.
