Afraid I've contracted rabies?

I suffer from hypochondria and have a major fear of the rabies disease. A few days ago, I was walking home at night. As I approached my house, I walked under a tree and then heard frantic squeaking of an animal and movement in the branches. Obviously the noise was from a bat since birds aren't really active during the night so I am scared. The branches of the tree were right above my head so this bat could of been just above my head. I didn't feel a bite or anything, but people say you can't feel a bite when you have severe anxiety and I have severe anxiety over bats. I am worried. My parents say I am worrying about nothing and I don't want to get rabies shot if I am not 100% sure, but I am worried I might come down with this awful disease if I don't get shots.
