Please list the following woods in increasing better quality: maple, oak, pine, ash, cherry, cypress, poplar.?

Well, a lot of that would be based on personal preference and what you are using the wood for. But generally I'd say poplar, pine, cypress, ash, oak, maple, cherry. But, I love cherry, and maple is a lot like cherry, but without the red tones.
