I'm 14 and I'm going with my friend and his girl friend to the mall and movies.I need help with getting a girl?

at the mall to join us at the movies so I don't feel weird when they are kissing and stuff. I'm awkward around girls and I'm not the most attractive. Girls say i'm funny and nice but I'm not sure how to approach a stranger in a public place. Please help me!
